Thank you for visiting the Newcastle United Methodist Church web page. Please know that we are a congregation that is dedicated to service. We want folks of our church to find paths of service to the world. While it is important to be fed spiritually and to find strength in the life of the rituals of the church, those are simply preparation for lives of service.

In The United Methodist Church, we practice “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors.” That means that all are welcome in the life of the church. We want you to find a place to serve God, to receive what you need to help with your life so that you can serve others.

As parents, when we raise our children, we do so with the intention that they become productive adults in the world, with lives of strength and service. Our children are taught by our example. It is the same in the life of the church. We see the saints who have preceded us in the life of the church and we admire them for their years of service. They taught us with their lives. I believe we are at a similar place in our community and our world this day. We need to be folks who are changing the world. We do this one person at a time, one moment at a time, one decision at a time. We do this when we make choices that are affirming and positive.

I believe the task of a Christian is to be positive and strengthening. And that’s what we seek in the life of Newcastle United Methodist Church. So come join us and open your heart and your mind as we open to door to the world.
