   Pastor Brett Thomasson

Pastor Brett was born in Independence, MO in 1964, and moved to Bartlesville, OK in 1970 and was active in the youth fellowship at First UMC, Bartlesville.  He earned a journalism degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. and worked for the El Reno Daily Tribune until 1993.  Pastor Brett answered the call to ministry and earned a Master of Divinity from Perkins Theological Seminary at SMU in Dallas, Tx. in 1997, along with our District Superintendent, Frankye Johnson.

Pastor Brett served an internship with the OU Wesley Foundation and at St. Stephen's UMC in Norman, OK, and has served as the Senior Pastor of the United Methodist churches at Alex and Ninnekah, OK, Campus Minister at the OCU Wesley Foundation, and as Senior Pastor at Highland Heights UMC, Altus, OK and Duke UMC.

Pastor Brett's parents still reside in Bartlesville, OK, and his younger sister, Anne, lives in Las Angeles, CA.
